Bear strongest in Cork finale
On his first start for Henry de Bromhead Byerley Bear proved up to the task in the concluding www.corkracecourse.ie (Pro/Am) Flat Race. Sun 12th Dec
His form was good in the autumn but he lost his way a bit on real winter ground. We probably had a bit of luck there but we will take it. I don't think he was in love with being in front as he held his head high, he might be better suited to being dropped in. He will run in handicaps now.
Henry De Bromhead
I'm delighted with that. I recommended him to the owner (Herb Stanley) after he won his bumper here,. He stays well and jumps great and will want further in time. Andrew was very pleased with him and gave him a lovely ride. He'll go for a novice next and will be better on better ground as well as stepping up in trip. I thought it was going to be a bleak Christmas until this win as I've had a lot of seconds.
Henry De Bromhead
He is tough and he is a half-brother to Ross Moff. I'd say he is pretty decent and he went well in a schooling hurdle at Tipperary. Davy said he was green throughout the race but he is a lovely type and I'm lucky to have him.
Henry De Bromhead
