Walsh/Elliott making headlines at Limerick
An American-bred by Street Cry he may be, but Orchard Road looks to be in the form of his life now at the age of nine. He brought up a Limerick treble for Ruby Walsh, and a double for Gordon Elliott, with his win in the Shannon Airport Christmas Racing Festival 26th — 29th December Handicap Hurdle. Fri 02nd Dec
Cad can jump as connections double up
Ruby Walsh said that the opening Supreme Horse Racing Club and Willie Mullins winner, Kemboy, "jumped really well." Perhaps it was just because he was soon in front and we got a clearer view, but their second winner on the day, Cadmium seemed even more impressive in the jumping department when landing division two of the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Maiden Hurdle. Fri 02nd Dec
he’ll probably go for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham. It probably won’t help his mark with the weights still to come out but it’s a nice race to win here today.

He was a horse coming in here with limited experience but when you have limited experience you're also unexposed,. I said to the owners going out that I thought he had a good chance. His novice form was good and it's been a good year overall. I missed a little bit of time with injury but to be a part of the Willie Mullins team at Punchestown - sure what can I say - it's what dreams are made of. To get on the scoreboard is great. We went a good gallop. This fella was keen over the first few to get on with it. I was quite happy down the back when the lads went on about it. I was able to tuck in behind them. His jumping brought him there probably a bit sooner than I wanted but I travelled well to the second last. Once I was over that I let him gallop to the last - I got in a little tight to it - but he was very clever for a novice - and he ran away an easy winner - fantastic.

David gave him a very confident ride. It looked a very fast pace but he jumped immaculately,. The first race you'd think about is the Ryanair Gold Cup here at Easter. We might try and find a novice over two for him before that.
