Beat Hollow is a great addition to the stallion ranks in Ireland as he is now resident at Ballylinch Stud in County Kilkenny and his son Charleville showed the prowess of Paul Carberry in the saddle and indeed the skill of his trainer Barry Murphy in the Thorney Bridge Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel. Foley on the mark again at Wexford
Shane Foley rode a winner on the Andrew Kinsella-trained Max Almighty at the last meeting here a fortnight back and the Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny native kept his local supporters happy by getting the favourite, Elas Child, home in the opener. Fri 08th Aug
Kieran Purcell sourced a few horses for me and this lad was one of them along with Rickardstown (won for Murphy at Hexham around this time last year). He's a nice little horse and the saddle slipped on him a little at Ballinrobe the last day when he was running well. He got the ground he wanted today.

He obviously loves the track and soft ground is the key to him. He'll probably get another few pounds for that now and he is likely to go back over hurdles (he won his maiden over flights at Sligo a few runs back).
