He’s a horse that always keeps a bit for himself but today he did more than I’ve ever seen him do. He looked better than I ever saw him today and jumped brilliant. He likes a galloping track and loves it around here,.

It's great. He battled great and, though he's my own son, he gave him a great ride. He threw everything at him. He's a tough horse and they suit each other. He's had a great season. They get on great together. You're always tempted to keep going and we'll see if we see something or if the ground changes. He has been in a good while and has raced every month since September. He probably deserves a break. I haven't too many for the summer so it would be good to keep the numbers up and get a few days out. Luke thought he'd handle this track but I wasn't sure.
J P Dempsey
Of my three runners I thought he was the one with the least chance,. Once he got over 100 I thought it would be tough for him. He's tough, he was off the bridle the whole way but kept finding. I thought he was going to get caught on the run-in and it was like slow motion. He doesn't help you either and Luke said he was off it the whole way. He's a lazy oul devil.
J P Dempsey
He missed the last but he battled well up the hill and relished it. We put the cheek-pieces on him today and Luke went the shortest way around the inside. It was a canny ride. It will probably be more of the same but he is in an amateur race at Punchestown next week over three miles one which would suit him. We'll see how he comes out of this, it might be a bit soon. The owners are from Kildare and are long-time supporters of the stable.
J P Dempsey
That was great and I'm delighted for him. The Fairyhouse run (last time) was desperate but the lads (TFC Syndicate) wanted to give him another run and we left everything off him today. I got a fall off him when he ducked out from under me before Fairyhouse and I got a broken wrist over him. He's a funny ould devil and can put in some dreadful runs and I wasn't sure if this was his last chance. The lads were keen to persevere with him and they've got two wins out of him now - he'll go for something similar next.
J P Dempsey
The horses are in great form and we had two point-to-point winners at the weekend that won first time out. This horse won a point-to-point but was then off for a year. Luke gave him a great ride. It's great to get the win today, and we'll look for something similar.
