Habit gets up late in thriller
The 1m2f handicap produced a thrilling finish with the Dermot Weld-trained Force Of Habit just prevailing after the judge had to split three in a photo finish. Fri 16th Apr
Force Of Habit is a tough horse but I was a little concerned about there being too much of a 'give' in the ground for him - the ground must not be too bad. Paul gave him a very good ride and the horse will run again later in the week in either the mile and a half handicap on Thursday or the two miles handicap on Sunday.
D K Weld
It was a positive ride from Pat and a battling performance. It was touch and go all the way in the last furlong and he put his head in front at the right time,. They didn't go a great gallop and he had a lovely position.
D K Weld
He was a bit slowly away and got into a pocket. Pat did well to get him out. Once he got out I thought he was always going to win and he would have been unlucky if he got beat,. He'll probably come back here for something. He ran well over hurdles at Limerick last time, when he was third, and could mix it.
