its onwards and upwards for Hughies Grey from here and we'll aim him at the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse next. I wasn't worried about the drop back in trip today as he had run well over two miles before. He is better going right-handed so Fairyhouse should suit him . today was my first Graded win.
Mervyn Torrens
He jumped well but to be honest he's always jumped well. He didn't touch a twig today. He's been crying out for that sort of trip and I hope he could be an Aintree horse in time. We'll consider the Irish National now. I had him in the Thyestes but he didn't get in. I thought he'd have won his novice chase by now but he's run up against a few good ones.
Mervyn Torrens
He loves the ground. He'll stay hurdling this year and next year we'll go chasing with him,. He jumps very well. He's tough and genuine and is a lovely horse.
Mervyn Torrens
