Leahy and Walsh Pleased As Punch
Pleased As Punch (11/2) stayed on stoutly to get her first win at the 17th time of asking when landing Tramore’s 80-95 handicap hurdle over two miles. Fri 15th Aug
He's a tough horse. That's his third run in seven days and he had a run over fences ten days before that. If the ground stays good he might go to Galway in ten days time but if not he'll go straight to the sales unfortunately. I would like to try and find someone to keep him at home.
John Joseph Hanlon
he's probably a 115 or 116 horse over fences so off that mark over hurdles he's entitled to win. The other day in Tramore he was too keen and never got time to settle. He's in again at Punchestown on Thursday; he's after being busy but if he comes out of this fresh, he might see another day out. He's in the November sales and the Mees (owners) always send two or three to the sales and he's one they picked out. He's one I wouldn't like to lose but they always replace them.
John Joseph Hanlon
It's lovely that he has won a chase. He jumps brilliant. It's hard to believe that he's 90 over hurdles and can't win one (0 from 10 over flights). Andrew said he's a much better chaser than a hurdler.
John Joseph Hanlon
