Anytime Frank (winning owner Frank McNulty) isn't here she wins, so he won't be allowed to come from now on. He is down in Ballybunion with his son Peter and he must have been praying for the rain. The slow pace suited her and she is all guts. Not every horse would go up the rail like that, but when the gap opened she shot into it. There is a race on Sunday week at Galway for her, it is a mares hurdle. She wouldn't get into the Galway Hurdle.
W McCreery
She'll get an entry in the Opportunity race (the Martinstown Opportunity Series Final Handicap Hurdle next Wednesday) at Punchestown but she might have top weight. She will also get an entry in the two and a half mile race on the Saturday and that would give her an extra few days. She had to run hard there to win as the other horse kept picking up.
W McCreery
She was bang in at the ratings and the handicapper can't touch her. She did what we expected her to do, but she wasn't suited by there being no pace. She has a type of rating whereby you would be tempted to run her every week, but I decided to wait for today. She'll go for a good two and a half mile handicap hurdle at Punchestown next. She is as honest as you could get. If we had a few more like her we would be laughing.
W McCreery
Leah Claire got a great ride from Ben and he kicked on at just the right time. She deserved the win and never lets me down. I'm delighted for her owners and she will probably go for a big handicap later in the year now.
Matthieu Palussiere
She keeps finding something and I don't know how long she can do it for,. She's a little mare that tries very hard and I'm delighted for owner Frank McNulty, who gets great pleasure out of her. He also owned the dam, who won here as well. She's entered at Cork on Friday and we'll see how she comes out of this.
Matthieu Palussiere
Danny [Grant] gave her a great ride and it was good for Danny to ride a winner on her as he won on her Dam four times. We will now try and pick up something similiar for her.
Matthieu Palussiere
We love this filly - she means a lot to us as she was reared on our own farm,. She came out of her last race very well and we gave her a god chance today. She's very tough. We hope to bring her back here for another handicap.
Matthieu Palussiere
I was a bit afraid of the ground today but she's tough and genuine. I'm delighted for the owner Frank McNulty who is a good supporter of mine. He bred this filly and he also had the Dam who won nine races for him.
Matthieu Palussiere
