Weld/Smullen double to put latter back on top
There were two big morning market movers for the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden at Dundalk. However Mouteab, the favourite, was able to end a string of three twos with a win, completing a double for his trainer Dermot Weld and jockey Pat Smullen. Thu 27th Sep
He's going to come back here for the Tattersalls Gold Cup now. He was away in Dubai and things didn't go right for him and we gave him a little rest after that. He's not gone right handed that much.

He's a lovely colt, and has come forward well from his last run. It's possible but not definite that he could run again this year, maybe in the Listed race (Eyrefield Stakes) at Leopardstown. He's a lovely moving horse, and the bit of rain helped loosen up the ground.
