She's a very good filly. She had a serious accident in January. She loves soft ground and missed the whole year when it would have been right up her street,. She could have got some blacktype in races like the Pretty Polly. It took her two races to get fit. We went to Paris when my horses were a little bit out of form and she went a little too fast as well. Niall said he'd take his time today. She came back to form today and won well. It's some compensation for a disastrous year. Her next outing will be the December sales at Newmarket. She's done well and is very genuine and very tough. She's a very good filly on soft ground.

It has been a good week. We have nice horses running in the right races. She likes soft ground and improved a bit today. The mile-and-a-quarter is better for her than one mile one furlong. She has been working better and better. Niall said she was very fresh on the way to the start but when he asked her to go during the race she flew. She's a good filly and might be better if the ground is heavy. She is in the Prix de l'Opera and I'll train her for it. If it is a soft ground week in France she might run there. She can make the running which can be useful in France.

There was nothing terrible about that race, I had first and second. She (Manieree) is an interesting filly and wants softer ground and further. She burnt them all off early in the straight. Kirinda was held up and might have been closer. The winner is a good filly, with a patient owner as she needs soft ground and after the dry months that type of ground was hard to get. The owners want to keep her as they will bred from her in time. She could step up in company on heavy, heavy ground. She has plenty of options now and could go for the Give Thanks Stakes (at Cork) or a race at Gowran in mid August.
John M Oxx
She is a nice filly. She ran very well first time out and got through the ground well. She should stay beyond a mile and I will start her off in a stakes race next year. The runner-up looks a decent horse so my one should do ok.
