Along Came Casey (6-4 favourite) produced an impressive display to turn the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran into something of a routWed 14th Aug
He's as tough as nails. He's not big but is as hardy as they come. He gave a cough after the last day so he had a mini break. He loves it here and will probably come back for one more before Christmas. It's great for the owner, Ned Power. His sons are involved with the Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist so they can carry on the celebration!

we were going to let Ned's Indian off on his holidays last week but we schooled him during the week and despite it being two years since he'd seen a hurdle, he was fantastic. We then thought, with the ground then appearing to stay good, we'd give him a spin in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown. Next year he'll go for some summer hurdles; he relaxes in his races so it should be easy for him to switch codes. His owner Edward Powell has been fantastic and has trusted us and stuck with us even when he wasn't showing a lot on the course last year.

All the horses have been running well, and this is another hardy little horse. He was having awful trouble with sore shins, but we have sorted that out now. I just feel sorry for Rory Cleary who is suspended (rode the winner on his last start). Colin gave him a great ride. We were thinking of giving him a break, but Rory said that he was still in good form and to keep going. He is an easy horse to keep fit, he is very clean winded. He is owned by Edward Power from New Ross.

.I was annoyed yesterday when he didn't get in but we got a phone call almost straight away. You never know when your luck is in,.

He kept getting sore shins and I'm delighted for the owners who have stuck with him (Edward Power from Wexford).
