Onzo Mor gets chance and takes it
Onzo Mor (at least a six in morning trading and eventually sent off a 4/1 chance) landed the Boylesports Maiden Hurdle under Andrew Lynch for Caroline Hutchinson. The grey beat off the attentions of Be Definite by four lengths. Mon 06th Jul

Onzo Mor took a bad fall at Tramore the last day and gave us a fright - it is brilliant that he bounced back with a win today. We schooled him over hurdles since then to give him confidence and Eddie (O'Connell) came in during the week and schooled him over fences. We were happy to take the fences on again today and this looked a good opportunity. Hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him now and we can find another race for him.

I'm delighted for the owners (Budi Beag Partnership) who are from Swords. I have a happy and healthy bunch of horses at the moment and long may it continue. Eddie gave him a great ride, and hopefully he'll pick up another handicap.

He has been balloted out seven times and it is hard to keep a horse on the boil for two months. I'm delighted for his owners as it has been frustrating for them (the Budi Beag Partnership from Swords). The plan is to head to Galway now for a novice hurdle. I expected him to run well there but not to win that well.
