That's super for Gary. The owner (Chris Dineen) is very loyal to him and that's Gary's third winner now so his claim will be down to seven pounds. Solent Ridge is a superstar at home. He is a great workhorse and leads all our good horses. Hopefully he will keep going and pay his way. The owner is a great owner and has got a few more horses with us now but this one is his favourite.

Danny gave Solent Ridge a good intelligent ride. Danny has been showing us at home what he could do and has transferred that onto the racecourse now. Solent Ridge is a horse who doesn't like being slapped but Danny didn't panic and was very clever. I was a little worried about the trip for Solent Ridge today.

He has done well to win two in a week and I just hope the handicapper doesn't hit him too much now and that he realises what he is beating. It is a pity that he can't run again quickly under a mandatory penalty as the new system doesn't allow it. Now horses like that go to the bottom of the ballot.
G M Lyons
It was long overdue, his form suggested he could win here. Ideally he's a seven furlong horse but he's come back to his form well. I'm delighted for the owner Chris Dineen, he's from Cork and it's his first time to see the horse run so it was great for him.
