Brilliant two-miler Sprinter Sacre recorded a commanding victory in the Boylesports.com Champion Chase in front of an appreciative crowd at PunchestownTue 23rd Apr
I don't know what was wrong with him. He can be a bit funny at home but he has started looking better recently and felt better. He worked well on the flat at Punchestown with Apache Stronghold and Texas Jack, and that has been nicely boosted since.
Noel Meade
That was a nice introduction. I'd imagine Noel will be looking at the good novice races, and maybe something like the Drinmore. He never does a lot in front. (AM & EM)
Noel Meade
I thought before racing they were the two best chances. It gets tougher from now on.Davy said the ground is very testing. I haven't overworked him and he'll come on a tonne. It's been difficult with the way the ground has been up to now.
Noel Meade
He's a nice horse . he's still a big baby and he's a 3 mile chaser in the making. He was flat out early. He's a nice horse for the future . he wants a summer's grass and we'll see what happens. I don't know what happened at the start . I'd like to see it again.
Gordon Elliott
