He was a bit keen over two miles so we dropped him back in trip,. Padraig said they went quick enough, he dropped him in and he kept galloping. I have him about two months and he's had a few runs for me. He had some good form here in the past. He wants good ground and will go back over hurdles in the summer.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
This horse has a problem with kissing spines,. It seems to hurt him over hurdles. He was travelling well over hurdles the last day but a horse bumped him and he folded quickly. The handicapper had dropped him four or five pounds so he'll probably put him back up now.
B R Hamilton
It's a bit of shock to the system as I'm used to tramping around in the mud at point-to-points. He's the only horse I've ever run on the Flat,. I suppose we'll have to have a look at the GPT (now Connacht Hotel QR Handicap) depending on what the handicapper does. There is also another race at Galway for him and hopefully we'll run there. He has an issue jumping hurdles with kissing spines which aggravates him so it was a last ditch thing to run on the Flat and it's working out. He's never run on ground as fast as that before as he's just never encountered it before but it was good safe ground with a print in it. She gave him a lovely ride and did exactly what she was told. You're always a bit concerned in these races as you never know what jockey you are getting . it's a bit pot luck.
B R Hamilton
He had an issue with his back with kissing spines. We got him injected and it seems to have made all the difference. I was worried about the ground but he seemed to handle it, and he's a proper two-mile horse. We'll see what the handicapper does and he could go over fences soon.
B R Hamilton
When he lost the race in Roscommon I thought it was 50/50 and I still think the best horse won. It's good for the owners to get that win . last time at Listowel the ground was a bit too dead for him. We've retrieved a few quid now and that keeps everyone happy. We might look at running him over fences but the ground will probably go against him from here on. He just about gets two miles and he needs decent ground.
B R Hamilton
He got the run of the race, everything suited him and the ease in the ground helped.
B R Hamilton
