The EMS Copiers Novice Handicap Chase at Punchestown on Friday is not surprisingly a highly competitive affair with €100,000 in prize money, and Val de Ferbet heads the weights.

The Ruby Walsh-ridden top-weight heads a three-pronged challenge by Willie Mullins, with Blood Cotil and recent Cork winner Tennis Cap also among the 18 declared.

Rebecca Curtis is double-handed with Irish Cavalier and Doing Fine, while Robin Dickin's Thomas Crapper and the Tom George-trained Wuff add further British interest.

Mr Fiftyone filled the runner-up spot behind Ballyadam Approach at the Fairyhouse Easter meeting, and that form received a timely boost when the winner followed up on Wednesday at the Festival.

"I'm happy with him and his form got a serious boost," said trainer Jessica Harrington.

"If the weather stays dry it will suit him down to the ground. It will be a lot better ground than he had in Fairyhouse."

Harrington is hopeful of landing the Hanlon Concrete EBF Glencarraig Lady Mares Handicap Chase for the second successive year with Burn And Turn.

The nine-year-old has to give weight all around on this occasion but the Moone trainer has had this €50,000 event in mind for a long time.

"This race has always been the plan. It's not a great race and she's giving plenty of weight away. She's in great form and her last run behind Vroum Vroum Mag at Fairyhouse was good on ground she hated. She won it last year and we'll do our best to win it again this year."

Stable-companion Annie Oakley is among her 10 rivals, and Harrington said: "It depends on which Annie Oakley turns up. Her form figures are P1P1 so she could do anything. She is what she is but she stays well and will take her chance."
