Ruby Walsh will welcome any winner at next week's Punchestown Festival but victory for Annie Power would mean the world.

The brilliant racemare is in foal to Derby hero Camelot but is still on course for the big meeting - at which she holds entries in the Champion Stayers Hurdle, the Punchestown Champion Hurdle and the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fund Mares Champion Hurdle.

Willie Mullins' ace became the first mare in 22 years to claim the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March of last year, but has not been seen in competitive action since winning the Aintree Hurdle the following month.

Walsh told the Irish Examiner: "From a sentimental point of view, I would love Annie Power to win.

"She has been some mare, she's 15 from 17 in her career, and if she was to come back and win, it would be special.

"I would love for her to sign off for this season with a victory."
