TG4 will screen a preview of the Punchestown Irish National Hunt Racing Festival at 19.30 next Monday, 19th April.

The preview was shot on location at Punchestown and features visits to the stables of Philip Fenton, Paul Gilligan and Willie Mullins.

The programme also features a tribute to 2006 Cheltenham and Punchestown Gold Cup winner, War of Attrition, who runs for the final time at this year’s festival.

“The Punchestown Festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar and TG4 are delighted to provide racing fans with a look ahead to one of the biggest racing occasions of the year” said Rónán O’Coisdealbha, Head of Sport, TG4.

The magazine style preview is presented by Denis Kirwan, with analysis from Donn McClean and the betting view is provided by Leon Blanche from Boylesports.

The preview programme is produced by Touchline Media, who regularly produce racing festival preview programmes for Irish television stations.
