TG4 to screen Punchestown Preview over the weekend

TG4 will screen a 30-minute magazine style preview of the 2021 Punchestown Irish National Hunt Racing Festival on Sunday evening, 25th April at 5.25pm (following live racing from Navan) with a second showing on Monday evening, 25th April at 7.30pm.

The Punchestown festival preview includes features on Paul Hennessy and Heaven Help Us, Gavin Cromwell and Flooring Porter also takes a look at some of the younger jockeys who have excelled following the retirement of some of racing’s all-time greats.

Denis Kirwan presents the preview, with analysis from Donn McClean and Paddy Desmond.

“The Punchestown Festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar and TG4 are delighted to provide racing fans with a look ahead to one of the biggest racing occasions of the year” said Rónán O’Coisdealbha, Head of Sport, TG4.

TG4 have also announced that they will be screening a repeat of the award-winning ‘JUMP GIRLS’ documentary - that provided unique access to the key women making their living at the top of National Hunt racing - trainer Jessica Harrington and her daughters Kate and Emma, and jockeys Rachael Blackmore, Katie Walsh, Lisa O’Neill, and Katie O’Farrell.

Part 1 of the documentary will be shown on Monday, 26th April at 8pm with Part 2 on Monday, 3rd May at 8pm.
