Roscommon Tue, 30th Jun, 2026  Nermal The last day they didn’t go much of a gallop but three of them took each other on there and it was a big help to us,. He’s an okay little horse, he deserved that but he could be at the full of his handicap mark now. I'd say we’ll start popping him over hurdles. We’ll probably try him in another handicap but he could start schooling away there now.

Curragh Fri, 26th Jun, 2026  Loughrea He is nice. Sam said he was in front too soon. He said he was pulling up and when the other horse came to him he kind of went on again,. I was putting it that he ran to a rating of 91 in Gowran. It was going to take a fair maiden to beat him today. He probably wants a mile-and-a-quarter as well. . John Houlihan owns him. He is a son-in-law of Pat Tallis who used to train. This horse is from the same family as that good horse they used to have, Acushladear. If anyone comes with money, he'll take it. It's hard for a four-year-old to win giving that much weight away.

Limerick Fri, 19th Jun, 2026  Expert Dancer She is her own worst enemy as she misses the break and missed it again today. She has run well in some good maidens, and it is great to a win with her as she isn't a bad filly. The ground was too quick for her the last day and she likes that ground, so we were happy to see the rain. She is a good filly who could get black type on soft ground. Maurice (Ahern) is a retired sheriff from Nenagh and owns her in partnership with a Tipperary syndicate.

Leopardstown Thu, 18th Jun, 2026  Chipsrdown She deserved it. I nearly wasn't going to run her, only the lads are from Swords, in Dublin. I thought the ground was gone too fast for her. She travelled away there. We thought she'd win in Killarney one day and the ground was quick and she never rose a gallop. Probably the visors are helping. We'll step her up to a mile-and-a-quarter now probably as well. I'd say we won't run her on that ground again. We got away with it this time.

It's not ideal taking on each other, but sure what can you do? . She ran well the last day. Orla gave her a nice ride. She's off to Fairyhouse now, she has another ride there.

He is a stayer; he'll stay two miles, I'd say. . Basil likes jumping, so I'd say that's probably what he'll end up doing. He is so big for stalls, he is 16'3. . He is a real quiet horse at home but he just acted up a bit today at the races. . He is in the Ulster Harp Derby actually and that's an engagement that we might take up. He only has seven stone-nine (pounds) at the moment. We'll get 7lb I suppose. If we got near the handicap proper, we might go.
