Dundalk Fri, 23rd Oct, 2026  Mehman Paddy is good and he is knocking on the door of the apprentice title now. He's had a very good season. He has ridden for me a few times before. We were hoping this lad would do things right today. He jumped better than the last day and we were able to dictate our own fractions. The pace wasn't that mad which suited and they were able to kick off the bend. It is cold up here, that would warm you up!. He's six/seven furlong and when the pace wasn't that mad, it suited us down to the ground. To be honest, we were hoping to get a turf win into him and it just didn't pan out. He hit the crossbar a few times. He obviously is a better horse up here, so we might keep him going for the next three or four weeks, or three or four runs maybe.

Gowran Park Mon, 19th Oct, 2026  Cosmic Funk The ground was soft enough for him there and the visors helped. He can be a bit lazy so they just helped keep him in Conor's hands. He gave him a great ride and is great value for his claim. He's a young lad that looks like he's going to have a bright future. The horse just needs things to go his way and back down in grade they went his way today. It was great to get the win out of him for Fergal Conroy who is a new owner in the yard. He was unlucky here two runs ago when he got into trouble on the rail but it was a lot more straightforward today.
