Friday - Babouche
Babouche bounced back after a somewhat disappointing seasonal debut to win decisively at Naas last time out when beating Whistlejacket for the second time in her career. If she brings her A-game again, she will be very difficult to beat.
3.056f. 21 Declared.

Formscan - Last year's winner Inisherin proved that dropping back in trip after tasting defeat in the 2000 Guineas can open new doors for a progressive horse and it is highly noteworthy SHADOW OF LIGHT follows suit after his gallant third-placed finish in the Classic at Newmarket. Having won the Middle Park and Dewhurst on his way to claiming champion juvenile honours last year, the son of Lope De Vega is expected to excel as a sprinter. Babouche has already accounted for Whistlejacket in two high-profile races in Ireland so must be regarded as a serious player in receipt of 3lb from the boys. Ides Of March, Jonquil and Big Mojo all hold solid chances of gaining some prize money.

150/1Friday big race trends: Coronation Stakes
- Just two of the last 10 winners have been trained in Britain, with three for France and five for Ireland
- 12 of the last 25 winners went off as favourite/joint favourite, while 21 winners in that sequence started at odds of 6/1 or less
- 13 of the last 22 winners had run previously in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
- The Irish 1000 Guineas winner has won this race 10 times in the last 38 years
- Seven Coronation Stakes winners in the last 30 years had previously run in the French 1000 Guineas
- Nine of the last 12 winners had previously won a Group 1 race
- Seven of the last 12 winners had scored last time out, while just two of those 12 had scored previously at Ascot
- There have been 11 winning favourites from the 24 renewals this century
Saturday - Believing
Believing is very consistent at this level and can improve on her fourth place finish in this race twelve months ago. She arrives here off the back of a victory in Meydan in April and looks a solid proposition to make the frame at the very least.
3.406f. 14 Declared.

Formscan - Last year's Commonwealth Cup hero Inisherin is back for more and showed more than enough when victorious in the Clipper at York to suggest he is set for a big run. French raider Lazzat romped home in Listed company at Chantilly last time and took the Prix Maurice de Gheest with the minimum of fuss last August, so he commands huge respect. However, a chance can be taken on TOPGEAR. Christopher Head's six-year-old comfortably struck in a Group 3 at Longchamp on his return and the drop back to this distance looks a good move. He may get the race run to suit and could be the one to beat.

Best Tips for Betting on Royal Ascot
As host of some of the most competitive Flat races of the year, Royal Ascot punters are always looking to find winners at big prices. Therefore, our best advice regarding Royal Ascot betting is to be selective with your bets. Don’t bet in every race.
Tote Placepot
One simple way to avoid the temptation of betting in every race is to do a Tote Placepot each day. This bet involves:
- The first six races each day.
- Finding a placed horse in each of the races and not necessarily the winner.
- The potential to win big for a small investment as the Placepot pools tend to exceed 1 million euro on each day of Royal Ascot.
Free Bets
It is worth seeking out Royal Ascot free bets and betting offers with the level of action on show. For example, if you sign up to BoyleSports, via the link above, and bet €10 you will get €60 in free bets to spend on your selections. You will also be gifted a €10 casino bonus.
Royal Ascot Specials
A host of specials will be up for grabs over the five days of the meeting including top trainer, top jockey, doubles, trebles, horses to win by a certain distance and so forth. Well worth a look once you have signed up with a bookmaker.
Best Odds Guaranteed
Do not miss out on getting the best odds on your fancies. Most bookmakers offer BOG on the day of the race, usually in the morning as prices closer to the event tend to fluctuate. If you fancy a horse at 6-1 in the morning and its price shortens to 3-1 before the off then you will get bigger odds of 6-1 with BOG.
Enhanced odds
Most bookmakers will offer enhanced odds or money back concessions on selected Royal Ascot races so check which sites are offering something extra on any race you are intending to have a bet on. The enhancement may only apply to a portion of your stake but every little helps when trying to show a profit at the end of the week.
Trainer form
Consider horse and trainer form and which yards have their horses most forward for the meeting. It is also worth analysing which trainers have excellent records in specific races. For example, Sir Michael Stoute has won the Hardwicke Stakes a staggering 11 times. Aidan O'Brien has an excellent record in the Ascot Gold Cup and has been crowned leading trainer at the meeting for seven of the last eleven years. Trainer Archie Watson is one to watch in the sprint races, while Kevin Ryan enjoys winning form in two-year-old races and handicaps.
Breeding
Delve into the pedigree of regally bred horses to help with your Royal Ascot selections and tips. Some horses are bred for the sprint races, while others have staying pedigrees. Look out for sires and dams who may have had excellent records at the meeting.
