I didn’t know if he was seeing out seven, and I knew a fast six today would suit him. There was loads of pace on, I told him to sit and wait. It’s great for the lads, the Dooley brothers are great supporters of mine. They’ve been very lucky with me and it’s great to get a winner for them. We’ll tip away with him. Navan Wed, 21st Oct, 2026 Coincidental Glory I'd say Sam (Coen) is cursing me because he would have been riding this horse, so it is his loss but Reese's gain. They are two great lads and the title race is going down to the wire. Sam has ridden a lot of winners for me over the past couple of years and a good result would be a draw!. this horse had gone 15 runs without a win, and I won't tell you what I was saying about the handicapper! He gave him 1lb for finishing third at the Curragh last week so that’s why we are back today, as he was going up to 61 and out of this (0-60) grade. I was sort of forced to run as it is great to have him in this grade. He has run a blinder, needed the 5lb (Holohan’s claim) off and when these types of horses get into this grade, it is easier for them. He came home well on ground he wouldn't love and is far better on fast ground. He has a higher rating on the all-weather, so we'll see.

Ted Durcan recommended him, he rang me one day out of the blue and said ‘there is a horse here that should be bought’,. They were having a bit of trouble with him, I think scoping wrong, and he felt that our place might suit him, being an open place and airy. It definitely has. We haven't killed him. We gave him a gallop up here last week and were very happy with him. The lads have been very lucky for me. Total Recall are with me since I started and we’ve had a lot of success together. We bought this lad as a nice fun horse for the winter. I’d say he’ll jump a hurdle next summer as well so we’ve plenty to look forward to. He’s a nice horse and he did that quite easily. Hopefully the handicapper isn’t too hard on him. We’ll campaign him up here for the winter and see what happens.
