Listowel Sat, 26th Sep, 2026  Local Resident It has been a very lucky family for us and ever since this horse came to me, he has always worked very well. After he had finished second in his point-to-point, the owners bought him with this race in mind so it is great that it worked out. They went very hard in today's race but he has that ability and, in time, he will stay all day. We'll look after him as he is a chaser in the making.
Downpatrick Fri, 18th Sep, 2026  Kashchei To be honest, I thought this was a much better race than the last day when he was second. We would have taken being placed. He's a very unassuming horse, plenty of ability there, maybe doesn't always show it. He showed it there today. This is his track and I could maybe see him as an Ulster National horse next year, something like that. He's a chaser, but his jumping is very disappointing. We will work on that for the winter. I'd like to see him jump better. I'd say you couldn't go far enough for him, he's a real stayer and the good gallop today suited. Jack Lord rides him out every day at home and he does a great job with him, so delighted to get him to win. We'll look after him now, I think we will give him a breather.
Galway Mon, 7th Sep, 2026  Brandt that was lovely and it was a great ride by Carl. Ever since we got the horse, we always dropped him out last, but we said we’d change tactics today and make the running. Carl is very good from the front and he gave him a brilliant ride. He was always saving a bit in front. He wants further and I was happy enough that he would stay going. He was headed but fought back and was very game. It’s great to get him back on track, he lost his way a little bit and we got a few things done. We’ll look for something similar, maybe further again — maybe three miles. He’s a real stayer. Carl is with me full-time now so I’m delighted to get a winner with him.
