Chica Guerrera It is great to see her rewarded. She has been running well in good pots and good handicaps as well. She was always going to do that, win a decent pot and it is great we got it today. The lads (Trouble & Strife Syndicate) came up from Kilkenny. It is great for them and she is a good filly. They enjoy her and knock good craic out of her. Ronan was excellent on her, and he is after twinning the Derby and the Oaks!. We'll see where we go after that, there's plenty of those fillies' handicaps as well too. We will try and keep her to them if we can, see what the handicapper does. She did win well, but she loves that ground. She has won in Gowran Park on soft ground, and she has won on a cut in the ground in Tramore as well. When everything falls right for her, she can be good. She was third in a premier handicap and was placed a good few times, and she is a good, sound filly. |

Carmel's Phoenix She did it very well, she took us by surprise,. She does jump well but she still shows a bit of greenness. She got all the allowances, she was getting 15lb off JP’s filly there. Where we go next, we don’t know. We might look at a novice hurdle in Galway for her. She’s a good filly, the boys gave her loads of time — John and Pat. Tom gave her a great ride, he rides her out every day. She gives him plenty of hardship every day and he deserved to win on her today. We didn’t think we were going to be coming up here with her but there is a break in national hunt racing coming up and there is no maiden hurdle for about three weeks. We said we’d fire her in here and it would be a good experience for her, it worked out great for us. She got left in front far enough out and then at the last two hurdles she was running around a little bit due to greenness. She’s a good filly and if we can keep her sound the boys will knock good craic out of her. |

Mr Master Mac He has run around the country tracks and that is why we said we would come down here. He has all that experience. Tramore especially was a good run. He won his bumper in Sligo and coming up here, we thought he should handle the place, and it is hard to handle it. He's not the biggest, but he's very athletic and was well bought by James Hughes. Tom was good on him too. He's agile, he's small, and he can nip around these places. We will stick to the country tracks and try and pick up as many as we can. |
