El Fabiolo It was a nice performance, hopefully now he’s just coming to himself,. I think he should improve again for a bit of nicer ground as the spring goes on and the final of the series in Punchestown is going to be the big aim for him. We had him qualified already and this race just fitted in nicely. |

James du Berlais it was a good performance and I thought they went a good gallop. It is very heavy ground down the back straight and, riding this horse, I'm a hostage to fortune as I have to ride him like that. There also wasn't a whole lot left in the tank from the back of the last fence. He's a great horse, I'm delighted to win on him and really enjoy riding him. He's a really talented horse when the scenario sets up for him. He ran in a Champion Hurdle (finishing ninth in 2021) and he was second in a Topham (2024) and fifth in the race last year. |
Clonmel Thu, 26th Feb, 2026
Kiely's Place I think he is a very good horse and is ahead of my horse King Of Aces who won here last month. He is for sale to stay in the yard, and he is a chaser really. The runner-up had a run, which was my worry, but I thought he could definitely give him a rattle. I had him entered for auction races as he sold for €5,000 at a sale but he sold post-sale, so unfortunately wasn't qualified, and he wasn't that cheap when I bought him!. His previous trainer Eugene O'Sullivan recommended him highly and his nephew Alan O'Sullivan was also very sweet on him, and that is what he has been showing us at home. I'd be hoping he is a graded horse, and he'll go over fences next year. |

How's Hannah I think she’s a very good mare. I was keen to use one of my 21 rides on her because I just think she’s very good. We might look at the Grade 3 in Limerick during Cheltenham. Ideally, we would have run her last week in Clonmel, but it got called off. We’re a week closer now so we’ll see. Long-term, I’d be hoping she might be one for the Mares Chase in Cheltenham next year. She’s a fine big mare and I love her. She gallops and jumps. We’ve been very lucky with Tim Townend, when he recommends one you listen. |

Mighty Park Your gut tells you he has to be a hell of a horse to do what he did â any horse that wins by 38 lengths must have a huge engine, you’re into Faugheen territory when you do things like that. |

Too Bossy For Us He did it nicely. It was a slow enough run contest and we’d have preferred a faster one,. He still has a bit of improving to do, he jumped the last very high which showed he has plenty left in the tank. Once he learns to come down and hurdle properly he should improve more. He has enough class for the Supreme (Novices’ Hurdle), but we’ll have a look and see what races he’s in and what he’s qualified for, we won’t make a decision at this stage. He’ll hopefully be a horse that will be dual purpose during the summer. He’s a horse we might try to qualify for the Melbourne Cup as well. |

Fillyoureye He needs a bit of nicer ground and needs a trip. Looking at him today I think he needs a fence too, but I’ll wait until the new season comes in. We’ll find a nice hurdle race between now and the end of Punchestown (festival). Possibly something in Fairyhouse for him. He didn’t enjoy Mallow. He didn’t take Paul along at all, so we took the hood off him today and I think it made a big difference. He was always very free, but he’s changed now. He’s more mature and is settling in his races, so it makes him easier to ride. It probably wasn’t the highest standard of race either. He’s improving and maybe the ones around him aren’t. I was happy to get that and I think his future might lie over fences. |
