Formscan By Tom Weekes - FOXROCK is a smart recruit to hunter chasing, being still a 9yo, and while he gives away weight here, has the advantage of having good recent hunter chase form to his name. He was beaten just 1L in the 2015 Lexus Chase and while his recent Down Royal win was undoubtably workmanlike, he seems to have retained a lot of his old sparkle. On His Own is the one-time unlucky 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up but has won just one Grade 3 since then. He showed his well-being when winning his point to point recently and while he is now 13, can prove competitive in this division. First Lieutenant is himself a triple Grade 1 winning chaser who himself, at 12, seems to have found a winneable level. He returned to point-to-pointing (following a seven year absence) in Cork recently and showed he can also be competitive in this division. His rider claims a very useful 5lbs and his light weight gives him every chance. Salsify was a top class and admirable hunter chase performer but normally reserves his best runs for the spring and, a little more worryingly, is now a 12 year old.
