FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - A half-sister to a Graded performer in Sher Beau, GLEN BEG could be the one here. Her trainer and rider, Liz Doyle and Jamie Codd, combined for a nice winner with Mac's Return at Lingstown point-to-point recently. That fellow subsequently grabbed the headlines when selling to go into training with Paul Nicholls – knocked down to Aiden Murphy for 165,000 pounds at Brightwells Cheltenham Sales. Anyway that's very much an aside but you can be pretty sure Jamie Codd could have ridden other mares in this line-up. Glen Beg is progressing with experience and her fourteen length sixth of nineteen behind Joanne One at Navan last month gives her the edge on these rivals. Why Ask Me was 'mugged' by Suntiep at this track about a month ago and she'd be a most deserving winner now. She'll surely go close. Girl In Blue is held by the selection on Navan running but she's a decent mare and she could provide a bit of each-way value. Pops Well has an absence to overcome but she has a chance of at least making the frame on the form she's shown to date. Pumped Up Kicks and The Bishops Niece are just two other places possibilities. Legacy Gold is a very interesting looking newcomer and it'll be noteworthy to see how she goes in the betting. Shantilly can only improve on the decent form that she showed on her debut, in an event where there are too many with chances for comfort.
