FormscanBy Alan Magee - TARLA is well treated by the conditions and is taken to make a successful debut over fences getting 12lb from the quirky but talented Knockfierna. The French import impressed on her Irish debut when taking a Grade 3 hurdle at Punchestown but was then off the track for over two years before getting back to winning ways both on the Flat and over hurdles. The current form of her yard is a slight concern but she’s an exciting chase prospect. Knockfierna appeared to have the classy Sir Des Champs in trouble when running out at the second last at Limerick last Christmas, and then repeated the trick when again well in contention in a Grade 3 event there last month. However she’s also won three times at this level over fences, and remains a potent threat. Our Victoria was still in touch when falling two out in an incident-packed renewal of this race 12 months ago, and is in good form this term.
