FormscanBy Michael Graham - In theory this should be a good opportunity for Mountain Kingdom after finishing second on his last couple of starts in Scotland. However, he was beaten 12 lengths in a Perth novice hurdle and prior to that Gordon Elliott's Dove Mountain beat him by three lengths in another novice hurdle at the same track. Elliott, the leading trainer at Downpatrick, would have a handle on what would be required to beat Mountain Kingdom so perhaps FIELD OF LIGHT can land the spoils. He was runner-up no less than four times on the flat in England. On his first start for Elliott, he ran in an 18-runner maiden hurdle at the Galway Festival. He didn't perform badly for a 50/1 shot when keeping on in the straight to be seventh having been 14th after the second last. He will likely show improvement for that first run over hurdles and this isn't a strong race. Simiel switches back to hurdles from fences. His third place to Black Warrior in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel looks strong form as Black Warrior has since won twice, including yesterday in Cork off a mark of 128. Simiel ought to be right on the premises.
