FormscanBy Alan Magee - There is little to choose between Ligeti and BOTTLEOFSMOKE on running behind St Lawrence Gap at Leopardstown last month, and slight preference is given to the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding. The son of Big Bad Bob has progressed really well this year winning over this trip at both Wolverhampton and Roscommon. Ligeti’s stablemate Wild Irish Rose tackles this trip for the first time. The Galileo filly, who kept some good company last year, is better than the bare form of her two outings this term and didn’t enjoy a clear passage when reappearing at Leopardstown. Steelyeyed is a tough sort winning twice over ten furlongs including at this venue earlier this month. She should be suited by the extra two furlongs, while Thunder Crash also steps up to a mile and a half on his first start in a handicap.
