FormscanBy Donal Murphy - This looks a fairly ordinary contest for the grade, and LEO MINOR should be able to take it. The son of War Front was third behind two good fillies at Tipperary in July, before winning his maiden on his next start at Naas. He was last of ten on his most recent outing at the Curragh, but he didn't get a clear run there, and was eased inside the final furlong. He has never encountered testing ground before, but he should be okay with conditions considering his dam Kissed won a Listed race at Navan in 2012 on yielding to soft ground. Aidan O'Brien trains the selection and he is also represented by Istan, who was a good winner of a Nursery on his last start at the Curragh. Ger Lyons is also double-handed with maiden Mack Attack, and Brooklyn's Rose. The latter won her maiden over the course and distance in June, and she should give a good account of herself here with Colin Keane in the saddle. Born To Sea got off the mark at Cork last month, and he can't be dismissed, while Giselle's Charm is sure to have her supporters with Pat Smullen booked to ride. Charlie Fellowes brings across Moonlit Shadow from his Newmarket based, and he said of the Showcasing filly: "We want cut in the ground, which we will definitely get. I was a bit worried taking on the colts, but the owners were keen to send her to Ireland for some black type. She ran really well on inadequate ground on her debut (third at Windsor) and then disappointed at Wolverhampton, when I rushed her back as she had been under the weather. The ground was also a bit quick for her at Haydock, but she won well and can hopefully improve for that. She's a nice filly. I like her."
