FormscanBy Donal Murphy - A good quality contest where the first, second, fourth and eleventh from the Galway Plate renew rivalries. Despite the fact he finished eleventh there, BALLYCASEY is the one I'll side with. The grey gelding won this contest twelve months ago, and also took the Red Mills Chase over the course and distance in February. He went down narrowly over flights on his last start at Listowel, and it would come as little surprise if he managed to win this. Galway Plate victor Balko Des Flos has been given a nice break to recover from his exertions at Ballybrit. The Henry De Bromhead chestnut is a consistent sort, and another good effort can be expected from him here with Davy Russell in the saddle. The selection and Balko Des Flos are both rated 158, and so too is Shaneshill. Ruby Walsh has opted to ride this son of King's Theatre, and he is sure to prove popular with punters despite an odds-on defeat on his last outing at Ballybrit. A Toi Phil is a three time Grade 2 winner, and he can't be dismissed with Jack Kennedy aboard. Kylecrue completes the line-up, and it would come as big surprise if he was even placed here.
