He was last on his return to action in the Derby Trial over the course and distance in May, but he improved greatly from the run, going down by just a neck to Downdraft on his most recent start at Navan. Fellow three-year-old Lucius Tiberius is given second preference. He won a good quality contest on his most recent start at the Curragh, and looks open to further improvement. Ger Lyons is represented by Tennessee Wildcat (third in this race twelve months ago) and Mawaany. Colin Keane has opted to ride the latter who looks a leading contender after finishing a never nearer fourth on his most recent outing over the course and distance in May. The hat-trick seeking Aussie Valentine is another to consider, while Espoir D'soleil and Turbine are likely to have plenty of supporters.
