FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MARY TUDOR is still a maiden but has shown a high level of ability in two starts on soft ground and can win today. She ran with real promise on debut and confirmed that showing with a cracking third-placing in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at the Curragh in August. The form of that race is very strong with the first two home then finishing within a short-head of eachother with a 1-2 in the Group 1 subsequently. Sizzling has already had six starts and while fourth in a Group 2 latest, wasn’t beaten far and is also proven on soft ground. Stablemate Athena was well behind the selection on their respective debuts at Cork and while she is almost sure to improve dramatically from the run, might struggle to turn form with the selection. Another stablemate Ballet Shoes was seventh in that Group 1 Moyglare recently and cannot be totally dismissed while Juliet Foxtrot won an ordinary maiden very easily at Goodwood recently and while she this is a step up in grade today, should be able to progress but meets testing ground for the first time. Ellthea won well on soft latest but steps up from a handicap while Ball Girl ran reasonably well against colts in a Group 3 in August and has proven soft ground form.
