The later was impressive when winning at Listed level at Fairyhouse last time and if he gets an easy lead again he could prove a tough nut to crack. Shane Foley gets the leg up on Brother Bear and it's interesting that connections try cheek-pieces for the first time, given his tendency to drift left under pressure. The ground was probably too deep for him last time in the National Stakes and that was a much better race also. He handled a bit of a cut when winning the Marble Hill at the Curragh and with a mainly dry forecast the ground here shouldn't be too bad. The Kodiac colt looked to throw away a winning chance in the Coventry Stakes, by not staying straight, earlier in the campaign and that level of form looks stand out in this company. Gobi Desert was sent off a short price when chasing home Brick By Brick at Fairyhouse and could improve on just his third outing.
