FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - It could have been all so different for Mikael D'Haguenet if he hadn't fallen at the last on his chasing bow with the 2010 Drinmore Chase at his mercy. Willie Mullins said of him lately: "He's come back in a lot stronger. I said last year he wouldn't go back chasing, but considering how well he's done physically I'm going to start him back over fences and see how he gets on. If he takes to them there are plenty of races to be won with him. If he doesn't, he'll go back hurdling." However he faces a formidable foe here in MOUNT BENBULBEN. Gordon Elliott said of him in a recent Irish Field stable tour: "He had a very good start over fences when third in what looked a good chase at Naas. I was delighted with him that day and he will come on for that. The trip was a bit short for him and he blew up after the second last. He will make up into a proper staying novice chaser this season, but there are very good horses running in every beginners' chase at the minute and you need a good horse to win one. If things go his way, he could be a very good novice. He'll get three miles no problem and he handles any ground. He is settling an awful lot better this year as well."
