FormscanBy Tom Weekes - WENTWOOD won in the style of a nice horse at Listowel recently and can make the step up in grade a winning one here. He showed ability on debut before winning eased down at Listowel, with the form being subsequently boosted with the runner-up winning since. He is capable of improving further and the drop back to 7f shouldn't cause too many problems today. Monkeylou was a debut winner at Listowel last year but does come here with questions to answer. He was a real talking horse when winning on debut but then disappointed somewhat in a Listed race at Tipperary in August when tried in a hood and when also very weak in the market. He has been gelded since his last run and could win today but does have a little to prove coming here. Krispen made his own seasonal reappearance at Listowel recently when running well enough in a handicap but could be vulnerable to smart types. My Silver Nails is useful but might also bump into a few today while Khwarizmi's, who was checked on his latest run, best form has been over shorter trips.
