Barry Connell's retained rider triumphed at the stamina-sapping Welsh course, Ffos Las, on Monday, aboard Paul Morgan's Limited Reserve in the featured race. O'Regan has his first rides at Tramore since the 2008/09 season, when the County Cork native visits the south-eastern venue for three mounts. O'Regan, a widely recognised stylist in the plate, is putting himself about in his quest for success. His engagements on this programme are for different trainers, none of which are for his main employer. He'll come up against fellow Youghal man, Davy Russell, when doing battle for owner, Dr Ronan Lambe, and handler, Robbie McNamara, on CALL VINNIE here. Russell is on John Kiely's Vicky's Charm, and whilst that one has fencing experience, Call Vinnie is now having his first attempt over racecourse fences. The former Dermot Weld runner is still searching for a breakthrough victory under rules. It's worth noting though, that Call Vinnie did score in a point-to-point when beginning for the Martin Cullinane nursery back in 2014. There are plenty of others with squeaks as well.
