Formscan By Alan Magee - SAGA EIGER showed little in two early season maidens last year but the market suggested he would step up on that here after a nine-month break and so it proved when third to Lily Of Kenmare. The selection was pretty keen in the early stages but still finished over four lengths in front of To Choose and, if settling better here, has strong claims in what looks a modest enough event. To Choose has since run well again over course and distance when runner-up to La Belle Maison. Knight Of Bangkok drops to a mile for the first time, and probably went off too quick when weakening in the straight here last time. Ordinary Man is difficult to weigh up having failed to start on his only previous try over a trip anything close to this at Laytown last September. He usually travels well over jumps and, with a chase rating of 130, is certainly not devoid of ability.
