Formscan By Alan Magee - Venture Capital is probably the most interesting runner on this card having won the bumper on debut at Fairyhouse’s “Hattons Grace Day” 12 months ago. The Presenting gelding had useful pair Bright New Dawn and Thomas Edison in his wake on that occasion, and his only subsequent run in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown was too bad to be true and probably best forgotten. However having said that, MR GROOCOCK gets the nod here with the current irresistible form of the Willie Mullins yard. He also impressed on his bumper debut at Clonmel and overcame soft ground in the process. Dr Linzi appears the pick of those with jumping experience, having beaten all bar Ontheground in a maiden hurdle here in October.
