Allography (7/1) kept on well for Conor McGovern to take the mile handicap in Naas by half a length.

The pair hit the front inside the final furlong and saw off 11/1 chance Escape Clause and Colm O'Donoghue. Sweet Sounds on her seasonal reappearance, took the third spot at 5/2. She was two lengths adrift of the winner.

Trainer Mick Halford said: “He was dropped a few pounds and we decided to claim five off him with Conor who gave him a very good ride. He kept it simple and is good value for his claim.

“The ground was too quick and the trip too far at Cork.”

On his big hopes for the Irish 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas he said: "Both Irishcorrespondent and Rehana are in good form and on target for next weekend.

"It's probably going to be a long week but the forecast is quite good and hopefully we will get decent ground.

"Irishcorrespondent has come out of his last race at the Curragh really well and is in fantastic form."

Irishcorrespondent goes for the 2,000 Guineas with Rehana in the 1,000 Guineas.
