Alwaystheoptimist scores for Cox/Kennedy

Edenderry based trainer Stephen Cox recorded his first win since June ’08 when Alwaystheoptimist made all to win the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown today.

Ridden by Paddy Kennedy, the son of Muhtarram made all to eventually see off the challenge of 5/4f Accordion To Paddy (seeking a double for connections) by 13 lengths.

Cox was not available for a comment.
