Course specialist Page Turner rewarded his amateur jockey Ambrose McCurtin's efforts when landing the featured Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase at Limerick today,

McCurtin, who claims 7lbs, steered the son of Bishop Of Cashel to his three previous Limerick wins and today made virtually all. However the combination needed to work hard to eventually shake off the challenge of Federici in the home straight and at the line, held a half length advantage, rewarding McCurtin's decision to do today's low weight (10st5lbs).

Afterwards winning trainer John Joe Walsh stated "Ambrose had to go light to ride him and in the end carried a pound overweight. He gets on great on the horse and sat in with him today to help him get the trip.

"He's a genuine horse but is nervous and that's all that's wrong with him.

"That's his fourth win here and he can't win anywhere else. He's a funny ole bloke but can run and jump. I don't know if he'd win anywhere else though!"

"It's my first time winning this race."
