American In Paris (14/1) struck for Denis Hogan and Joey Sheridan in the second split of the 47-65 handicap over six furlongs.

Having tracked the leaders towards the far side, the daughter of Starspangledbanner was ridden to challenge over a furlong out.

Hitting the front inside the final 150 yards, she drifted left and the staying-on Teddy Boy was impeded and had to switch right.

The latter kept on well to press American In Paris in the final strides but was held by a head and the placings remained unaltered after a stewards' enquiry.

Sheridan said of the the Fountain Hill Syndicate-owned winner: "She won in Dundalk one night and had a good run the last day in Naas when Kyle (McHugh) rode her on good ground. We were hoping the ground would dry up for her as good ground is key to her.

"When they go hard like that, you can sit handy and not disappoint her as she puts her best foot forward.

"That is her trip and her ground."
