Joseph O’Brien moved onto the 124 winner mark in his record-breaking season when completing a treble on the Polytrack aboard Total Reality in division one of the Crowne Plaza-sponsored extended ten-furlong handicap.

The victory continued a fine recent run of form for trainer Denis Cullen, and the six-year-old gelding was also popular in the market.

Available at 9/1 in the morning and 7/1 on track, the son of Fath overcame a slow start to lead inside the final furlong.

The 5/1 chance kept on well to beat Settle For Red (11/2) by a length and three quarters, with Wagadoogoochoochoo (4/1) completing the placings in third.

Cullen said, “He’s often slow out, and I was delighted Joseph rode him here a fortnight ago as he knew him today. They went a good gallop which gave him the chance to gradually get into the race.

“He was bought as a fun horse by Chris (Byrne), and he’ll ride him in an amateur race at Galway later this month. The yard is in good form at the minute and long may it last.”
