Measured Approval recorded back-to-back wins when landing the seven-furlong handicap at Roscommon for Pat Flynn.

Denny Benson produced the 5/2 favourite to lead over a furlong from home and he kept on well in the closing stages to record a length-and-a-quarter success.

The well-backed Lily's Star (13/2 into 9/2) stayed on from the rear to claim the runner-up spot without looking like pegging back Measured Approval.

The winner was following up on a cosy victory at Sligo last month and was defying an 11lb rise for that success.

It was a fourth career victory for Alan MacAlister's Acclamation gelding, who has won on heavy, good to firm and on the all-weather.
