London Icon made all and stretched clear in the closing stages for an impressive victory in the mile conditions race at Navan.

Gerald Mosse took the mount again on Adrian Keatley's charge and bounced out in front on the Elzaam colt.

He was asked to quicken a furlong-and-a-half from home and stayed on strongly inside the final furlong as Full Moon gave chase.

London Icon went on to record a cosy four-and-a-half length victory. The winner had finished seventh in Listed company behind Imaging at Naas last time.

Keatley said:- “I was hoping he was going to do that. We don’t know what happened to him in Naas.

“He just wasn’t happy even pre-race, and we thought we hadn’t run well enough to go for the Guineas even though the Guineas winner (Romanised) was only a length in front of us the same day. It was a good race at Naas.

“Nothing really showed up afterwards but he’s on target now. He’s in the St James’s Palace so that or the Jersey could be an option either.”
