Ash flying at Dundalk

Michael Halford's Invincible Ash made it third time lucky on his outings at Dundalk today, winning the opening Tallyho Leg Wear Houseware Handicap.

Ridden by Rory Cleary, the daughter of Invincible Spirit raced prominently, was a close second from one furlong out, before eventually getting her nose in front on the line.

Invincible Ash, who had finished third and second on her two previous course runs, was adding this event to a Tipperary maiden win last July and Halford mentioned "she should get six furlongs and may go to Leopardstown next for a similar handicap."

He added "Rory (Cleary) is getting stronger as he rides more and gave Invincible Ash a great ride."
