Atlas Peak recorded his fourth success at Dundalk as he just up got up to win the second division of the Irish News The Last Line Handicap under Conor Hoban for trainer John Carr.

The 8yo son of Namid was sent off at 16/1 after finishing out of the money on his last three starts at the Co Louth venue.

Having chased the leaders in the early stages he was third at the halfway point. He was ridden into second a furlong out and he stayed on well to just get up on the line and win by a nose.

The Tracey Collins trained Indiana Charmer (8/1) under Pat Smullen was the one he pipped on the post while top weight Romantic (25/1) ran well to finish a length and a half back in third under Ben Curtis for trainer Paddy Rogers.

Coco Belle was sent off the 9/2 favourite under Ronan Whelan for Paul Deegan but she never looked like winning and finished a well beaten twelfth of fourteen.

John Carr said afterwards: "He needs to be covered up and come with a run. We will keep him going here until the end of the season. The syndicate (the Coleman Country Syndicate) are a bunch of lads from Navan, Dublin and Sligo."
